I used to go to the gym because I felt I had to, not because I enjoyed it. I did the usual cardio, spin class, tried the weight machines, but my fitness level was stagnant. Then a few of my friends and I tried Jen Zuba’s class at the gym. The music was great, the other participants were friendly and welcoming, and I felt energized at the end of class. Each exercise we did, she showed us different levels to see which one worked for your body that day. I was learning how to use weights correctly. I was laughing during class and having fun working out. I decided to participate in her Lifestyle Program and loved the results. I introduced both of my sons to Jen and they participate in her classes and her personal training with fantastic results.
At the beginning of the pandemic, when the gyms were closed, Jen kept my family motivated by sending us workouts, hosting Zoom calls and doing Facebook live events. My workouts increased rather than stopped. After completing a workout with Jen, my anxiety levels decreased and I felt happier and more productive during the day. Her philosophy of listening to your body and adjusting workouts to fit your needs was exactly what I needed to hear. I push myself, but without causing injuries. I have signed up for Jen’s monthly membership program. Knowing I can reach her for questions and click on a link to video tutorials explaining how to properly do the exercise is one of the benefits of the program, as is receiving challenging workouts to enjoy when I can’t attend a class. At fifty-one years old, I feel stronger, healthier and happier than ever before. Exercising with my sons is wonderful quality time and I am grateful to be able to do so each and every day.
